About the event
Workshop with an introductory class on Game Design and activities to guide the development of the Game Design Document (GDD), with a support handout and guidance for producing a playable prototype. Because this activity requires participants to dedicate 3 daily hours on average, it is offered only once a year, in August. How does it work? Two synchronous meetings (activity start and finish): 2 hours each.
The first meeting will happen on June 31 in order to: 1) organize the teams, 2) present Game Jam, 3) do a game design workshop, and 4) do activities to develop basic elements of game development by the teams. In the last meeting, which will happen on August 9, the teams must present their prototype to a specialized jury. The asynchronous meetings in the CUBE Discord server will happen between July 31 and August 9. The project/prototype must be delivered on August 7 until 11:59pm. On August 8, the teams will present their projects.
Date: July 31 to August 9 * synchronous meetings on July 31, from 7pm to 9pm, and on August 9, with times to be arranged with the participants.
Time: First day from 7pm to 9pm
