Project Coordinator
Amaro Grassi is a Project Coordinator at the School of Communication, Media and Information at Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV Comunicação Rio). He is a PhD in Political Science at the Institute of Social and Political Studies at the University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (IESP-UERJ), a Master in Sociology at the same institution, and has a major in Social Sciences at UFRGS. At FGV Comunicação Rio, he coordinates the projects “Digitalization and Democracy in Brazil” (2020-2022), supported by the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the “Social Democracy Room” (2018-2022), supported by international organizations such as NED, Luminate Group and OSF. He coordinated the 1st class of the MBA in Digital Communication Strategies at FGV and led consulting projects for the Chamber of Deputies (2017-2018), the Ministry of Finance (2017-2018), the Superior Electoral Court (2022-2023), the Court of Justice of Rio de Janeiro (2022-2023), Greenpeace Brazil (2019) -2022), Instituto Arapyaú (2019-2020), Febraban (2019-2020) and Itaú Unibanco (2021-2022). He worked as a journalist covering international politics for the newspaper Folha de S.Paulo (2008-11).
