
Director
Marco Aurélio Ruediger is a PhD in Sociology and an MSc in Policy Analysis and Management. He is currently the director of the School of Communication, Media and Information at Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV Comunicação Rio). He was also the director of Public Policy Analysis for Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV DAPP), the department which originated FGV ECMI. He is part of the Internet and Elections council of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) and of the advisory board of the Brazilian Association for Business Communication (ABERJE), and is a member of the Influence Operations Researchers' Guild at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. He is also a member of the Democracy Coalition (D4D) at the National Democratic Institute, in Washington D.C, which brings together organizations and experts committed to democracy and cyberactivism on the networks. He conducts research and projects in the fields of communication, democracy, and public management and transparency, focusing on technology and the internet.
