Connecting FGV Comunicação Rio students with the market was the goal of the "Future Leaders" event, held on August 27 at the Cultural Center. Leaders from companies such as L'Oréal, Globo, Accenture, Artplan, Ambev, Vale, Shell, Essilor, Insight, Inpress, Forrest, Conspiração, Radio Novelo, iMúsica, Vivo Rio, UOL, and other businesses attended the event. On the occasion, fourth-semester students of the Digital Communication undergraduate program at FGV presented their main projects in a pitching format to industry professionals, demonstrating the knowledge they have acquired over the course.
“The idea was to flip the script: instead of simply telling students to seek out internships in the market, we invited companies into our welcoming environment so they could see the innovative projects created by the students. These are digital communication products that propose innovative solutions for the market, using data, programming, virtual reality and other tools – all part of our curriculum, which is a major distinctive quality,” said Marco Ruediger, Director of FGV Comunicação Rio.
The market received the event well and students reported having a positive experience. “I saw a team of students fully prepared to enter the market, with a significant advantage in my view: they are data-driven people with a focus on communication,” said Carla Knoplech from Forrest.
Thaís Coelho, from Globo/G1, echoed this view. According to her, what stood out the most was finding projects ready to be "brought to life". “These are fourth-semester students, but they already have technically developed ideas that align with the solutions the market needs.”
Students Anna Clara Legey and Nataly Abreu presented one of the products developed at FGV Comunicação Rio, Beauty Deals, and celebrated the opportunity to have direct contact with the market. “We’ve already received internship offers, and we’re very excited. It feels great to know that our projects are being received well by companies.”
