Integration Week at FGV ECMI organizes lectures with professionals from FSB Comunicação, Play 9 and Agência Bowler

Practical workshops applied to the market, presentation of FGV and the undergraduate course in Digital Communication were also in the week’s schedule

Last week, from February 13 and 16, the School of Communication, Media and Information at Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV ECMI) received the undergraduate students in Digital Communication for its Integration Week. The first week of classes in the course had a special program for onboarding the new undergraduate students at the unit and at FGV. 

The week started with a lecture by the journalist Flávio Castro, partner and director of FSB Comunicação, who gave an overview of the new Communication professional. He talked about his experience in the field and about the company’s strategies to grow in the market and become a leader in the field in Latin America in 2019.

Over the four days of activities, the students were shown the main guidelines of the School of Communication, the student bodies and the support groups at FGV. They also had practical experiences in the unit’s labs, being encourage from the beginning to think about potential applications in the Communication market, and they got to know and talk to the professors who will guide them in the course. 

To finish the week, we received the journalists Gustavo Serra, partner of Play 9, and Rizzo Miranda, partner of Agência Bowler, to have a conversation with the students. They talked about the insertion of their careers into the digital world, what is important to follow this path successfully, which skills professionals need in the current market, and how to monitor trends, in addition to sharing stories about their careers that were relevant in their trajectories. The program sought to introduce students to the course in a welcoming way and to promote experiences to inspire their trajectories over the following years in the course.
